The
Gateway Academy
"Filling the void in Modern
education!"
The Gateway Preparatory Academy
is a dynamic academic milieu where form the first day, pre-college
students join and take part in something very exciting--the "Great
Conversation."
Beginning with a systematic introduction to Philosophy and using the
Socratic method: a careful reading and carefully guided discussion of
great Classics, students will learn how to think, how to write (essays,
fiction, and poetry), how to conduct a conversation, and how to recognize
false reasoning. In addition, for year two, some students will enter our
Theater Program and study the "Great Conversation" in Theatre and film.
Students successfully completing this two-year course of
traditional learning will have a singular advantage over those whose
learning is limited by the constraints placed upon the general curriculum
offered in most modern educational institutions.
